Vicki Smith is a freelance illustrator and fine artist. Her pastel illustrations have been used as book covers, editorial art, posters, menus, brochures and calendars. She is a graduate of Parsons School of Design and finds inspiration in the beauty of nature and everyday life.  Whether the image is a bowl of cherries, a cup of tea, or a crab on the beach, she attempts to capture the viewer with compelling composition, evocative color combinations, and the textural complexities that are unique to the medium of pastel.
